Does anyone know how to make thin hair a little thicker looking?

My hair is a little past my shoulders and pretty thin. I don't think I want it to be layered. I've also tried volumizing shampoos which work for a little while, but then my hair goes back to normal.

My hair is fine and thin but with my hair cut it looks full and thick according to others. The trick is layers. I don't like alot of layers so I have 2 long layers in the back and angeled toward the face in the front.

When I style it I flip the bottom layer out and the top layer in. That is what makes it look so thick,

Use a hair thickening shampoo. However don't expect miracles thin hair will never be thick shiny long bright etc. like on TV

I know, since i tried these shampoos myself

Yeah, dry it upside down, or get a diffuser hairdryer. They blast hair into the roots making your hair look fuller and thicker.

Alternatively, if you want to use product, use hair mousse. You just scrunch it onto the roots of your hair and your looks pumped up all day long.

Hope this helps! x

Blow dry upside down. Alterna makes a thickening cream product that is very light and works beautifully. I also use a very light mousse by Pureology. I work that into my hair, the roots while my head is bent forward, hair upside down.

Some products can weigh your hair down but I'm very happy with these products. They also don't make my hair feel like I have product in my hair. I sometimes forget that I do.

You could also try spraying hair spray on your hair, by the roots, upside down. Tease your hair a little. That's another thing that you could do, at the roots.

a good haircut and layers can do wonders for the amount of volume in your hair, idk why you don't think you want them.

you can always use a volumizing root spray, or a volumizing mousse, and yeah, blow-drying your hair upside down is great. also, adding texture to your hair can give it more body. use a wave-enhancing spray and french-braid your hair. or when your hair is damp, scrunch in some gel or curl-enhancing mousse.

good luck on your quest for thicker hair!

First you should start off by washing your hair with voluminous shampoo and conditioner.when you get out of the shower, put in some hair moose to get it to stay. after, you should try to dry it upside down with a blow dryer. then if you go under neath your hair and tease it a little with a brush ((not a comb it makes to many knots)) it will look thicker. also try using bobby pins to where pompoduers ((those cute bumps people where on top of their heads)). It should look good. If you want to put it in a pony-tail dont pull your hair back super tight, that way every one will see that it's thin. put it back loosley. okay? good luck! You'll look amazing!
