I have fine, straight, thin hair. How do I get it to keep a curl for more than 5 minutes?

It loses the curl in less time than it takes to put the curls in it to begin with. Perms have proven to be too damaging.

Use a ceramic or gold plated curling iron on mid to high (24-27) setting. Remember the bigger the barrel the loser the curls. Then spay with anti- humidity spray. Ethnic ones work the best. If you don't mind the way hair spray feels, finish with Freeze- It hair spray. Trust me our hair is the same, and that's the only way mine will stay.

i have the same hair, and i used to have that problem.

you can try to put leave-in conditioner, but not too much cause it'll weigh your hair down.

it might als be because of your curling iron. some give off heat, but they wont curl.

if you scrunch your hair and then curl it it might do the trick, i would put some hair mousse in there and or some hair spray and then try curling it or when it is in the curler mist it with some spray before you let it out. that should do the trick. I have heard that really clean hair makes it harder so the mousse and hairspray will help.
