can i go to the hairdressers and ask them to layer my hair and make it thinner without actually making it any shorter when its tied up and when its out...

im trying to grow my hair out..

YES! It is possible...

It all depends on the kind of cut you would like. My daughter has really really thick hair and the hair dresser sometimes layers it or razors it. (Though only razors the frindge as I am not sure how it would go all over!)

I would check with your/a hairdresser as they should give you a consultation for free. When you go in, don't be afraid to tell them exactly what you want and even ask for a portfolio of the hair they have cut/styled.

If they don't take the time to answer your questions... go somewhere else!
