What can I do with my thin hair?

OK, I'm a girl and I have extremely thin pin strait hair. I am so frustrated becuase there is no style that works for my hair. It wont hold any volume or curl. Its either flat and stuck to my face or fly-away depending on the weather. The olny plus to my hair is its soft and fine like a babies but Id trade that any day to be able to actually style it and look good. My question is whats a good style for me? Is there any product that could help me? Is there anyone else with this problom that can tell me about there personal experience? Thanks

PS: My parents both have my same hair so changing my diet or taking supplements probably wont make it thicker because its a genetic trait.

Start by paying a visit to your local salon and getting some product recomendations. A good volumizing shampoo/conditioner is a must. A good haircut is just as important as anything you put in it. So spend a little dough and find someone you trust. Try getting consultations at local salons. Don't count out your local beauty school if you are low on cash. Also, buy a tool for backcoming. That will give you some volume. A good wet set (rollers) may help too, but your hair may be too thin.

When I was young I had real thick straight hair. The kind you had to get permed to make it do anything. And when I got permed most of the time they would burn it so it looked even worse then. Now with age my hair has got thin and I like to wear it long. I have noticed though that I have to accommodate the weather. When it gets fly away I rub a little Vaseline on hands and put it on my hair to make it stay down. If it is windy I have to put it in a ponytail and spray a little hair spray on it to keep it looking nice. And sometimes I put it up with some of those clips or just one big one and spay it. If you noticed in the commercials on TV that they most of the time will use people like you and I for hair care products. They like that long straight shiny look. Also most famous people will do anything to get their hair to look like ours. Most people break out the hair irons to get our look. So be natural and be thankful for what God has give you.
