How to make your thin hair appear thicker?

I have oober thin hair and I would like it to appear or be thicker. Does anyone know any simple ways or tricks to do that?

-keep conditioner at least an inch away from the roots

-use mousse/volumizing shampoo

-blow dry and then blast with cool air upside down

-keep dry hair in a high ponytail on the top of your head

-get color or clear shine gloss. i don't color anymore, but i still get a clear semi-permanent done because the process thickens your hair.

-try to grow it out longer, but get trims a lot for any "stringy" looking ends.

-get layers throughout, but the ends bluntly cut.

-you can also get a body wave at a salon, which will make it wavy and thick looking. (think jessica simpson, she has one)

You can layer it thats what I do. Also blow drying it makes it look fuller and so do curls.
